Bombay Suicide ist eine energiegeladene siebenköpfige Irish-Folk-Band aus der Nähe von Zürich, Schweiz. Gegründet vor über zehn Jahren von Singer-Songwriter Mati Naef und Violinist Elder von Ow, verbindet die Band traditionellen Irish Folk mit modernem Drive und schafft so ein mitreissendes Live-Erlebnis.

Zum Repertoire gehören mitreissende Interpretationen von Klassikern wie „Whiskey in the Jar“, „Dirty Old Town“, „Foggy Dew“ und „The Irish Rover“ ebenso wie eigene Songs, darunter „Heyjaho“ und „Out Into The World“. Thematisch drehen sich ihre Lieder um Freiheit, Liebe, Arbeit, Seefahrt und das einfache Leben – erzählt mit ehrlicher Folk-Leidenschaft und eingängigen Melodien.

Im Jahr 2025 veröffentlicht Bombay Suicide ihr erstes Studioalbum, das sowohl traditionelle als auch selbst geschriebene Stücke enthält. Dazu erscheint ein aufwendig produziertes Musikvideo, das die Atmosphäre und Energie ihrer Live-Shows visuell einfängt und die musikalische Entwicklung der Band unterstreicht.

Bombay Suicide is a high-energy seven-piece Irish folk band based near Zurich, Switzerland. Founded over a decade ago by singer-songwriter Mati Naef and violinist Elder von Ow, the band blends traditional Irish folk with a modern edge to create a powerful and captivating live experience.
